Malaysia is a prosperous country that is currently undergoing rapid economic growth which puts the country in need of foreign labour in attempt to meet the economic growth demand. The entry of foreign labours in malaysia has left many impacts on the country including a shift in the structure of society and also has created multiple negative impacts on the labourers themselves that have deemed to be serious and increasingly challenging.
YAKIM was establish with the purpose of addressing the various issues and act as a body other than the government or the foreign embassy that would provide assistance and effective solutions to the foreign workers.
It is with our hope that YAKIM will be able to assist the government in insuring the safety and harmony of the Malaysian citizens while also at the same time able to monitor the foreign workers.
